Informed by cutting-edge research and grounded in the best of international practice, the Oxford Masters is built on eight core courses which are completed module by module within two years, and a dissertation.
Modules are generally four days long, beginning on a Tuesday and concluding on a Friday. The first module starts with an additional two-day induction, and the final module concludes with a one-day capstone event.

The full-time, ten-month programme, offers students with a prior background in law the chance to develop an advanced interdisciplinary understanding of relevant economic and financial contexts.

Before the first term you will be required to take pre-course classes in maths (depending on your existing level), in Matlab (a computer language), and in accounting. You will also attend pre-course careers training.

It is not mandatory to have any full-time work experience prior to applying to the programme. However if you have any relevant experience, either full-time or via an internship, this will be considered as part of your application for the programme.

The duration of this program is 09 months. During your time on the programme, you will take four core modules that are all carefully integrated: the economics and econometric modules apply theories, and methodologies to finance and the finance modules provide the underlying economic principles of financial practice.

We have introduced a three-day Financial Markets and Institutions pre-course that will link academic instruction with talks and seminars by industry practitioners, talks by potential employers, and alumni events. You will have the opportunity to take part in the Oxford Saïd Finance Lab in addition to your programme of study.
