Internship Clubs and Business Sector Global Immigration Filed Trips

RSM Career Centre recommends students to do at least one internship during their studies. An internship is an opportunity to take a closer look at a company for a short time. You can find out more about a job, about the organisation’s culture, and whether it suits you or not.

All of the experience you gain during an internship is valuable for making decisions about your career and for your future.

One of the possible elective options to consider is an internship which involves the research of a practical problem that is carried out for an international organisation abroad or in the Netherlands (for non-Dutch students). The internship will be awarded 15 EC or 20 EC, depending on the choice you make.

  • A 15 EC internship must last at least 10 weeks full-time (the equivalent of 420 working hours) and a report of 20 pages must be handed in.
  • A 20 EC internship must last at least 15 weeks full-time (the equivalent of 560 working hours) and a report of 25 pages must be handed in.

Student Clubs are an absolute favourite and the heart and soul of the Rotterdam School. There are 12 clubs in Rotterdam wherein students can enrich themselves with activities outside of classroom.

Global Immersion Field Trips (GIFTS) during Rotterdam management degree are an integral part of your degree and expose you to the key themes of entrepreneurship, sustainability, and social impact. The trips are an immersive and transformative part of your learning experience, building experience and skills and challenging you to work with communities, organizations and different business cultures to solve real-world business problems. It includes study trips abroad to RSM’s leading partner business schools.


  • A bachelor’s or equivalent degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • GMAT or GRE score.

    The RSM MiM program adds to students’ business and management skills and the program’s structure comprises 90 ECTS wherein 30 ECTS is concentrated on the degree and 60 ECTS as a base that enables the non-business background students to understand the importance and concepts of masters management. The whole curriculum consists of 7 segments (blocks) in totals, wherein the Autumn semester includes 2 blocks, The Spring semester includes 3 blocks, and the Thesis semester comprises 2 blocks. The program is centered on Research methods, Consultancy projects, and Thesis.
