MSc in Management or MSc International Management (MIM) at Bocconi University has a blended study program. The current program director is Alessandro Minichilli. The program aims at helping the students in developing and acquiring the soft skills necessary in the business environment. These skills hone students in becoming the next generation’s leaders, whether in companies or as entrepreneurs.

Bocconi boosts experience-based learning by having guest speakers, company visits, ad hoc business cases, discussions on specific issues with companies, and many more. Program And Curriculum of Bocconi University MSc International Management

The program’s structure is explained in two parts, i.e. first year and second year. The first year is dedicated to skill-building and improving soft skills in communication and presentation. They will also get involved with partner companies in challenging real business cases. The main topics are – 

  • First Semester: Planning & Control, Leading People, and Managerial Data Analysis.
  • Second Semester: Managing Corporate Growth and Financial Planning.

The second year is for gaining experience by doing the internship, choosing a major, and enhancing the educational experience. The majors are –

Apart from this, you need to do an internship which is compulsory for all the students, study any two foreign languages, write a thesis on an approved topic by the professor, and attend & participate in extracurricular activities.

Extra Activities

The belief is in the overall growth and development of the students. During your time at Bocconi University, you will have to do an internship for the curriculum. Using the platform ‘JobGate,’ you can find & browse all the internship opportunities according to your preferences, that is, according to geographical area or employers industry, etc. You can apply to an endless number of internships.

There are two special internships, namely Bando MAECI-MIUR-FCRUI and Curricular Internship Special. But these internships are for credits. Other than this, there are internships without credits, and if you do any internship after receiving the degree, it becomes an extracurricular activity. 

Bocconi also has several student associations, clubs, and media centers. There are 100+ student organizations in fields namely – management, finance, economics & social sciences, government geopolitics & politics, law, technology & innovation, hobbies & special interests, sports, performing arts & culture, and international & foreign students’ clubs.

Eligibility and Requirements for getting into BOCCONI University MSc International Management

Admission into Bocconi’s MSc Management degree are made after evaluating the elements of the applicant’s profile. Several elements are considered, and no assessment is done if any of them are missing. The elements are –  

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a first-class academic standing, minimum of 75%./ 3.3 GPA.
  • International English Language Certificate or University Qualification awarded in English or English Exam at B2 level or (higher) passed in a university course.
  • A standardized Test Score that is 600 GMAT score (or equivalent that is GRE) is required for applying to this program, but at least a minimum of 150 is required for either quantitative & verbal sections.

Bocconi University has two academic intakes for September/October and January/February. But there are many rounds of selections and three admission sessions that are early winter and spring, wherein you can apply accordingly. But the enrollment window lasts for only two to three weeks after selection. You also get the chance to ‘re-apply.’ That is, you can apply two times for the same academic year.
