Utah MSBA Overview
The Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program equips students with the necessary skills and knowledge to compete in the rapidly growing market for analytics and data science professionals. Companies in the private and public sectors have a need for executives, analysts, and specialists with advanced training in analytics technology and business management, and the Eccles School gives you just that. Students exit the program ready to enter the world of big data.

International students seeking employment in the U.S. during or after the MSBA program have access to a number of helpful resources. F-1 students are eligible for curricular practical training (CPT), as well as post-program optional practical training (OPT), and a STEM OPT extension.
MSBA students benet from working one-on-one with a dedicated career coach throughout the program. The MSBA career coach helps students prepare to enter the growing market for analytics professionals as well as teaches a one-credit-hour course on career development.

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN BUSINESS ANALYTICS : Class Profile
All applicants who submit a complete MSBA program application by the scholarship deadlines and have a minimum of 550 GMAT scores are eligible to receive the scholarship application.
Scholarships require a separate application that will be sent to eligible applicants with their admission decision or shortly afterward.
Note that the top, most competitive applicants in each round may receive scholarship awards with their admissions decision, without submitting a separate scholarship application.
For MSBA students, the majority of scholarships are awarded during the admissions process. Note that students are only eligible for admissions scholarships during the term for which they are applying. Students are not eligible to apply for admissions scholarships after they have started the program.
- MSBA applicants must have completed the equivalent of a four-year U.S. bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. An academic or employment background specifically in business is not required to apply for the MSBA program.
- International applicants holding a three-year bachelor’s degree should contact the International Admissions Office to determine if additional coursework will be needed before applying to a graduate program.

The application fee is $65 for international applicants.

The optional essay is truly optional and may be presented in 250 words or less. It should be used to address any weaknesses (low GMAT or GPA) or inconsistencies in your application.
