USC BA Program

The Master of Science in Business Analytics is a comprehensive program that provides students with the skills and knowledge to become experts in business analytics and data sciences and to advance their careers in this exciting and fast-growing field.


MS in Medical Management

The USC Marshall School of Business Master of Medical Management (MMM) was created specifically for healthcare executives choosing to pursue an advanced business degree. The one-year program was modeled after USCM's top ranked EMBA curriculum, and focuses on leadership, innovation and entrepreneurial thinking within a healthcare context.

The MMM program includes four, seven-day residential sessions over a 12 month period. During the interim periods between residential sessions, the program includes off-campus projects, assignments, and some modules that are taught in a distance learning format..

Masters of Managemnt

The Master of Management Studies (M.M.S.) is designed to provide those who have already completed the equivalent of the first year of an accredited traditional 2-year M.B.A.

This program allows students to select from a wide variety of graduate-level courses offered to students in Marshall’s M.B.A. and specialized master’s degree programs. 


The M.S. in Business Analytics program was established Spring 2014. It is designed to last 18 months. Students will take 11 courses to complete the degree. The Financial Engineer ranked the M.S. in Business Analytics program #1 amongst business analytics programs in the United States.

Students in the program acquire a broad and in-depth training in all areas related to business analytics and big data analysis, including statistical modeling, data management, visualization, information security, optimization, and decision-making under uncertainty.

Students will learn programming tools necessary to analyze large and unstructured datasets, translate the analysis into decisions that will improve business performance, and effectively present complex data to high-level decision-makers.

In addition to methodological training, the students will discover applications of business analytics across a wide range of industries and functions, including marketing, finance, operations management, retail, manufacturing, banking and health care.

USC BA Program Content

The Master of Science in Business Analytics degree requires 33 units, taken in 3 semesters (with the flexibility of extending to 4 semesters): Fall, Spring, Fall, including 19.5 units of required coursework plus 13.5 units of coursework chosen from a list of electives. The program may be completed on a full-time (3 or 4 courses per semester) or part-time basis.
