The Vanderbilt MBA degree is your fast track to achieving the goal of a successful career. The Vanderbilt MBA’s curriculum offers a wide array of career possibilities and allows you to tailor your studies to the path of your choice. Specializations are focused course tracks for students desiring an in-depth study of the functional area for their chosen career. Specializations typically require 20 credit hours of course work.

Students are also offered the opportunity to do project work for practical learning. All project work which is not associated with an established course is to be approved by the professor who will supervise such work and the Student Programs Office. The Student Programs Office provides guidelines for proposals to be submitted for such projects. 

Vanderbilt students are offered opportunities to gain real world experiences through brand week which is a three-day intensive immersion and trips.
The Career Management Center offers opportunities for students to visit selected cities and meet with executives and alumni to get firsthand industry knowledge and learn about employment opportunities. Some Examples-

The Leadership Development Program (LDP) is an experience layered onto the classes, job search and student activities. The amount of time spent 1 hour a week or 5 hours a week or more—depends on your personal goals and your level of interest and commitment. The Leadership Development Program is not mandatory as part of your MBA degree requirements, but it’s available to all students.

Vanderbilt consists of more than 30 clubs divided into five types:

Application Information

The application procedure of Vanderbilt MBA does not include essays instead it consists of video responses and short written statements.  The video questions are designed in a manner to help the university know about who you are as a person. They are easy questions and you will have time to answer them. the step by step instructions on how to record yours answers are given in the application.

The application fees is $200.

The short written statements are written statements which you have to answer in 75 words. Three statements are career-focused,one is a more creative statement and one is optional.

Explanatory Statement: You may provide an additional statement to explain anything that you think is important for the Admissions Committee to know about you that is not already addressed elsewhere in your application. Many applicants use this statement to explain significant gaps in full-time employment, lack of recommendation from a current supervisor, or subpar academic performance.
