    • Undergraduate Degree: Students entering a Stern MBA program are required to hold a four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the U.S. or an equivalent degree from a foreign country (in some cases, this is a three-year degree).

    The application fees for direct application is $250

    Application Documents

    • You must include transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions you have attended showing a list of all courses taken, credits earned, grades received and the name of the degree earned (if any)
    • A one-page resume (CV).
    • All official up-to-date academic transcripts and official GPA.
    • In addition to GMAT and GRE, NYU Stern also accepts the Executive Assessment Test (EA), MCAT, LSAT, and DAT.
    • English language proficiency test score report (TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test).
    • You are required to submit two EQ Endorsements with your application.

    Application Essays

    Stern asks for 3 short essays.Stern essay questions give you the opportunity to more fully present yourself to the Admissions Committee and to provide insight into your experiences, goals, and thought processes.

    • What are your short and long-term career goals?
    • How will the MBA help you achieve them?

    Personal Expression (a.k.a. “Pick Six”)
    Describe yourself to the Admissions Committee and to your future classmates using six images and corresponding captions. Your uploaded PDF should contain all of the following elements:

    • A brief introduction or overview of your “Pick Six” (no more than 3 sentences).
    • Six images that help illustrate who you are.
    • A one-sentence caption for each of the six images that helps explain why they were selected and are significant to you.

    Note: Your visuals may include photos, infographics, drawings, or any other images that best describe you. Your document must be uploaded as a single PDF. The essay cannot be sent in physical form or be linked to a website.
